Member of the oneworld alliance: Bridging gaps in the global flight network

May 6, 2014 – 08:29 am

In March 2012, airberlin joined the world's leading association of airlines, the oneworld ® alliance. At the same time, the Austrian airline NIKI, member of the airberlin group, joined as an affiliate member.

By joining the world alliance, airberlin's ability to compete has been strengthened and the company is able to offer its customers a global network of partners and additional services.

airberlin has already established codeshare connections with seven oneworld members. In 2012 the combined route network transported more than 300, 000 passengers worldwide.

Due to the accession, the number of destinations available to airberlin’s passengers has multiplied to more than 900 around the world.
