Airberlin check-in machines are available at almost all German airports and at numerous airports in other European countries. You can use them to check in quickly and easily, regardless of whether or not you are checking in baggage.
Check-in is available from 30 hours before your flight. You can also use the check-in machines if you need another print-out of your boarding pass.
It is not possible to use the Quick Check-in machines in the following cases:
- For flights to and from: the USA, Canada, Mexico, Cuba, Kosovo, and Cyprus
Here's how to check in using a Quick Check-in machine
- You need your credit card, topbonus Card, ID card/passport, or your booking number to confirm your identity at the machine.
- Once you have identified yourself your flight will be displayed on the screen.
- Select the flight for which you wish to check in.
- Select the seat you prefer.
- Finally, remove your boarding pass.
- You can also use this method to check in any travelling companion(s).
You can collect your boarding pass and check in your baggage at the airberlin check-in desks. Please arrive at the check-in desk in good time, so that you have your boarding pass before the check-in deadline ».
There is a separate check-in desk available for our Business Class and topbonus status customers.
Please note that there may be long queues at the check-in desks. We therefore advise our guests to use our Web Check-in, mobile Check-in or Quick Check-in facilities.
You can check in your baggage and/or obtain your boarding passes the evening before departure at many airports in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This allows families with children, in particular, to have a relaxed start to their holidays. On the day of departure you can go directly through the security checks and then on to the gate.
A fee of €8 per person is charged for this service. This fee is also applicable if you only wish to check in your baggage on the evening prior to your departure because, for example, you have already checked in online. Children under 12 years of age, airberlin Business Class passengers, and topbonus Gold/Silver/Platinum/Service Card holders may check in free of charge the evening before departure. Even if you have booked the FlyClassic (for bookings from ) or FlyFlex fare on short and medium-haul, this service is free of charge.
Please note that Evening Check-in is only available on flights operated by airberlin, NIKI or Belair. Customers flying with codeshare partners are asked to contact the operating airline for information.
